About Elizabeth May of the Green Party
Elizabeth May explains what people often get wrong about her, and how the patriarchy undermines the environment and fuels capitalism. Prior to leading the Green Party, Elizabeth founded and served as the Executive Director of the Sierra Club Canada (1989-2006). Notably, she was the first Green Party member to win a seat in the House of Commons and is currently a Member of Parliament for Saanich-Gulf Islands and has been since 2011.
