SCO is taking on Rouge Beach in the Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup Date: Saturday, Sept. 21, 2019 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM Location: Rouge Beach (195 Rouge Hills Drive, lower parking lot), Rouge National Urban Park Did you know that three million pounds of plastic pollution enters Lake Ontario every year? Join Parks Canada to lend a hand in cleaning up the waste that washes up on the shores of Lake Ontario and the Rouge River to make your national urban park a cleaner place! Cleanup supplies will be provided to participants. Drinking water will also be available on-site, so bring your reusable water bottle. Dress for the weather, as we will be cleaning the shoreline rain or shine, and wear close-toed shoes, long sleeves, and pants tucked into your socks for safety. Our cleanup may change in location, just due to the flooding at the beach. Watch for signage or check online ahead of time HERE |
