For the third time in so many years the Province is rewriting the CAA. The CAA created Conservation Authorities in Southern Ontario "to ensure the conservation, restoration, development and management of Ontario’s natural resources through delivery of watershed-based programs and services."

SCO has co-signed the excellent Ontario Headwaters Institute letter to the province on the CAA consultation. We are working with other environmental groups to reverse destructive proposed changes to the CAA.

SCO is seeking members to serve on our volunteer Executive Committee

Candidates should be passionate about environmental protection and supporting grassroots activists. Also must have a track record of commitment, reliability, and the ability to be a team player. Sierra Club is committed to equity and diversity in all of its appointments and activities. Self-nomination is welcome.

We are particularly interested in candidates suited to join as Treasurer, Fundraising Committee members or Communications Committee members.

SCO Executive Committee meets via video conference to facilitate and enhance diverse geographic representation. You must be a member of Sierra Club in order to serve on the Executive Committee (become a member today!)
