Environmental Organizations Winnipeg
The Sierra Club Prairie chapter in Winnipeg brings together environmental organizations across Manitoba to provide opportunities for folks to join a community and advocate for the environment in ways that best suit their capabilities. We emphasize democratic grassroots organization and believe the best way to advocate for the environment is to nurture a relationship with nature. We take decision-makers on tours of local areas as an effective and meaningful way to value the land and build relationships.
We are building wildflower beds and promoting native plants and pollinators in urban settings in Winnipeg. Our Nature As Muse initiative uses arts-based engagement to meaningfully connect with nature and build community.
