Looking for Outreach Volunteers

SCCF is looking for passionate volunteers to assist our canvassing team this summer!

Summary

If you are interested in gaining hands-on experience for a national non-profit, learning more about environmental issues and how we can create change, or need volunteer experience for school or work please apply!

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Attend a canvasser training session
• Attend local community events to take photos for our social media, and promote membership in Sierra Club Canada
• Assist with canvassers with any other tasks during their event
• Canvassing door to door to engage the public in our work and increase membership with one of our membership outreach team members
• Collect membership sign-up information
• Participate in a debrief session after volunteer shift on national canvassing team

Skills

• Love for the environment and commitment to making positive change
• Interested in learning about Sierra Club Canada programs, goals, and activities
• Ability to engage with people from diverse backgrounds and perspectives

Terms

• We are looking for volunteers across Canada in
  • Ottawa, ON,
  • Brampton, ON,
  • Corner Brook, NL, and
  • Halifax, NS
